The server was being updated so that folders could be downloaded via an SSL connection, as people were abandoning folder downloads when they saw the download would be done over an unsecure connection (nonSSL). While trying to do this it was discovered that the installation of a critical area of the server had been installed incorrectly by the hosting company. Over time, while trying to rectify this the control panel of the server had a catastrophic failure which meant that the site stopped working. The process of backing up the entire 1.8TB of data offline is currently taking place before a complete re-installation of the server is done. This will take a few days and should be done by the end of the week (19th April).
